I have an Outlaw receiver. Can I learn all the functions into this remote? I looked at the manuel and it's hard to tell if I can program a new device or just missing buttons from a device they have codes installed for.

The learning ability of the Prod 8 is EXTREMELY limited, you can only learn to the 6 dedicated learning buttons, so this is not an idea remote for the Outlaw, especially as the Outlaw remote has SO MANY buttons!

But the Prod 8 is upgradeable, so you could send it in to have the Outlaw code added.

That being said, the remote that comes with the Outlaw is an 8 device remote made by the same people that make the Producer 8, isn't that remote good enough to control your system?

I have the same setup; Outlaw 1050 and Producer 8 9800 IR/RF remote. I can't find any codes for the Outlaw reciever that seem to work. I might have to send it off to get upgraded.

If you have equipment you know the Producer 8 doesn't support, I'd suggest looking elsewhere for a fully learning remote. Easier in the long run.
