I've got a Hitachi 36UX59b TV and a 15-1994 remote. The TV code is 0145 and I noticed there is an advanced code (548) labeled as "Home Theater" (www.hifi-remote.com). My original remote doesn't have this function and I'm wondering.....what does it do?

I just got this TV, and the remote, and I don't want to be too experimental and screw something up.

Thanks,
Rob

I can't think what... perhaps use the TV's speakers as a center channel. I can safely say that Hitachi devices do not have discrete power or inputs.

Thanks Daniel...your idea is one I hadn't thought of but it makes good sense.

Well, I know other TVs have that feature (even though no one who cares a smidgeon about home theater would ever recommend it) -- and that sounds like a logical button name. Though I don't really know what you'd want one-touch access to it... ;-)
