The following describes how I configured my Cinema 7 Learning to control all of my equipment. I'm open to suggestions for improvements!

1. Clear All: a. SETUP *_** 9*8*1* ****

2. Setup DEVICE codes: a. TV*SETUP*_** 0*0*5*3* ** (JVC AV2707) b. RCVR*SETUP*_**0*1*7*6* ** (YAMAHA RX-v795a) c. DVD*SETUP*_** 0*5*7*3* ** (Samsung DVD909) d. VCR*SETUP*_** 0*0*3*2* ** (Sony SLV-585HF) e. CD*SETUP*_** 0*0*0*0* ** (Sony CDP-C515)

3. Volume Lock on RCVR (all audio plays back through the receiver in my setup) a. SETUP*_**9*9*3* RCVR **

4. Re-assign TV CHANNEL UP (adv. code 505) and CHANNEL DOWN (adv. code 245) functions to RCVR CHANNEL UP and CHANNEL DOWN keys. This allows me to change TV channels whether I'm in RCVR mode or TV mode. a. RCVR*SETUP*_** 9*9*4* ** TV*SETUP*5*0*5* CHANNEL UP ** b. RCVR*SETUP*_** 9*9*4* ** TV*SETUP*2*4*5* CHANNEL DOWN **

5. Setup a Macro on the TV/VCR so that this key works for all devices. This allows me to switch my video source whether I'm watching TV, VCR, or DVD. Is therre another way to do this? a. SETUP*_** 9*9*5* ** TV/VCR * TV * TV/VCR* SETUP*_**

6. Learn the menu exit key from my TV remote onto the EXIT key. Is there an advanced code for Device 0053 that does this? a. SETUP*_** 9*7*5** TV*EXIT *****(holding TV Remote up to Cinema 7 while pressing the menu Exit key on the TV remote. Do this until two flashes dsiplay on the Cinema 7)**** ** SETUP*_**

That's it. This setup is about 90% of what I'd like to accomplish, and I'm amazed that a $25 remote can be so versatile.

Kit,

Seems like you've done a great job so far. You'd be even more amazed if you only paid $16.50 for a learning cinema7 like I did.
