Rob...if I can get you to clarify something else for me I would greatly appreciate it....

When programming a macro to power everything on do I NEED to first select a device as it is stated in your manual....I'm not sure I understand the reason for selecting a device button before programming a macro that will power up each component of my system.

I only have the remote for 1 week and I'm still learning so if the answer to this question is a very obvious one that I just don't see (but should) I apologize and would greatly appreciate your taking the time to explain it to me....

Thanks again,
Vin

No you don't, my manual was originally cloned from the One For All site and some stuff is still left over from the original version, this being an example.

Macros are effective in all device modes, so it makes no difference what device button you press before programming the macro, but you should include a press of the device button in the macro itself, to ensure that the remote is in the correct mode when you use the macro.

Rob,

Thanks for replying, I'll try it out tonight! I was able to learn volume control to all of my devices as you suggested in your last reply and it really makes things a lot easier.....thanks again!

Regards,
Vin
