Extended codes in a macro?

One more question.
There is a function I'd like to put in my micro. There is an extended code for the function but not a predefined button.

Could you put extended codes in a macro? Or do you have to assign a button to the extended code then put the button in the micro?

Thanks

BTW, my remote is a RS15-1994 (Cinema 6 clone).

I've heard it could be done, but have not tried it. Macros normally have a limit of 15 keypresses. If using an advanced code sequence in the macro you'll use up at least 4 steps (SETUP,a1,a2,a3). However, assigning an advanced code to an unused key will also use 4 memory steps.

Why don't you try it and let us know if it works?

Dave,
I have read your post elsewhere that ther is a 180 "unit" limit on micro/extended code memory on the Cinema 7. However is there a hard 15 key limit on one micro?
Thanks

Zhe,

Yes, there is a 15 keypress limit on macros. This includes pressing device keys to change to other devices.
