I was all ready to buy the jensen RF remote control when I thought I should learn a little more about them first. At this web site I read a review that said the Jensen did not act reliably from one room to another. Can someone tell me if the URC-9800 does work from room to room before I buy it. Thanks, Steve

I have the URC-9800 and also an 8090. Both work well, but nowehere near the 100' range suggested in the manual. Somteime you have to be careful about orienting the remote in order to get it to work. It either transmits the correct signal, or none at all. I also have a pair of Sony DSS receivers (SAT-A3) with their own RF remotes and they work flawlessly throughout my house so it's not a matter of RF interference - the URC RF tranmitter is just not as powerful as I would like.

I bought a 9800 2 months ago and found it very responsive, i didn't need to face the remtote to my equipment, since there is a repeater/extender on the RF transmitter, hence my transmitter is out of sight.
