Does the one for all 9800 on its RF receiving base station have any kind of IR repeater output that could then be wired into a connecting block to use with other emitters to transmit to other equipment not in its direct line of site?
thanks

It comes with a device known as an "IR Blaster", this is a small IR emitter on the end of a wire, the idea being that if your units are behind closed doors you can run this wire into the cabinet and attach the IR emitter over the IR window of the device you're trying to control.

Do you or anyone else know if I could cut off the emitter and wire this into a connecting block to use for more emitters so that I can hit more then 1 component that is not in the racks where the receiver will be?
thanks

You could get an IR extender, Radio Shack has these little pyramids that repeat IR signals, and put one of them in the rack where most of your gear is, and have the other in front of the stuff that's in a remote location. I have no idea how well the IR signal would survive passing through all that interface though.

My wife hates those pyramid things that is why I am going the route of emitters, so if there is anyone out there that has cut of an emitter on a OFA 9800 let me know..
thanks
