Can anyone share advanced codes (Cinema 7) for a Sony STR-DE835 receiver? I found codes on [Link: starbase314.com], but not sure how to read the chart for Sony 0158. It has three sections which confuse the hell out of me.

Those worked for me. They tell you the 3 number codes that do particular functions on the SONY. For instance.. When I set the remote up for a sony receiver, I never got a button for TV mode. I could switch the receiever to any other device but not back to TV. So I did the following.
RECV*SETUP**9*9*4*SETUP*3*8*4*[An unused key on remote for this device]
Then I pressed that key I had chosen and voila !
All the sections are a little confusing but you find it eventually.
** Indicates Holding that key (SETUP in this case) until the unit flashes (twice I think)
