I'm using my 15-1994 to control my HTPC (Home Theatre PC) by learning the IR-signal remote buttons. Is there a device code that enables all the buttons on the remote? I currently have the remote configured to a VCR, but some buttons are annoyingly not enabled. I don't really care what device code I'm using, but I would like all the buttons to be active.

Is there such a code or at least a device with a lot of buttons enabled?

Thanks!

What you are asking for is a function of the way the remote was programmed for each model of VCR, TV, etc. As far as I know none of my devices including Audio Receiver, CD Player, Cassette Deck and X-10 have all the buttons programmed at the factory.

Since you can add any function to just about any button, you can do this yourself. That is what most of us that use the remotes to anywhere close to their maximum have to do.

Bobby, I think you have a misunderstanding of how the 15-1994 works. When you program in a device code it sets up the correct signal for that device and maps as many buttons as the people who make the remote deemed necessary.

However, what you are doing is learning signals from your original remote, so what does it matter how any of the device codes are set up? You can learn to all of the function buttons excpet for SLEEP and FAV/SCAN, but you are limited by the memoryof the rmeote, which only has room for about 24 buttons, depending on the length of the IR signals.

Hope that clarifies.
Rob.
