So Im having a time with these new c3s
. Ive been having lots of issues like macros not working, buttons doing different things. I have a couple of these out and the only one that worked right was one i did for another tech and today he told me the remote stopped turning off his tv and he keeps having to unplug the rf extender cause its not working.

The first customer i did i called tech support twice on cause i couldnt get a power off macro to work. One time you hit off and everything would work. Start up another activity then press off and only the tv would shut off ect. work around was to make a good night activity, which works but not what i wanted. I dont like leaving

The one i did today (that i apologized to the customer and took with me since it doesn't work does the same crap. The off macros where working , was just adding some buttons and now my off button turns zone 2 on/off. Dont have a clue how that happen since i wasnt using zone2. Never got the macro to work again. Randomly turns stuff on when entering an activity. ect ect

Sorry wife wont listen to me rant

So anyone else having problems or better yet anyone got some of these working no problems??

We have 2 in stock. When they came in I attempted to program 1 of them up for my system at home to get the feel...Took close to 3 hours to get it programmed and I never did try it out..Got late and I was kinda mad at it for taking too long

The only true feel I got for it was to drop it in the trash or to return them and never order another

I cant say if they work or not. I personally dont care for them and sounds like they didnt work for you

I like the studio pro software wonder why they didnt just incorporate the c2/c3 into it. Owell im not pissed like i was yesterday , work arounds come with the job

Why don't you call their tech support? They will help you as long as you are a Custom Installer. They will not help you if you are an end user. You will have to go thru the CI that you got it from. Simple.

called Tech support and they said they didnt know what the problem was, It is a slow online programming SW and thats the way it is, but they have been working on it and its a little faster now

So I brought out the C3 again to give it another try.....Nope still slow on processing each thing you do and allowing you to move on

I don't know what to say; but I have not had that problem with thy C3.
"wonder why they didnt just incorporate the c2/c3 into it. ": They did not incorporate the Studio Pro for the C3 since the price of the C3 is much lower then the Q50/ S70.

i think what bothers us most about the c2 and c3, is that they touted it as being a professional remote, when you can get the same thing from Best Buy except that it is says Acoustic Research. there is nothing professional about these remotes.

the fact that you can only use 1 per household with the RF base is completely useless to any professional that would like to use more than 1 of these on a job.

you are better off with a URC MX450 in this price range.
