Im looking to switch to windows 7 and also want to use nevo studio but also nevo media, I assume this is possible? Do you need to run these in xp mode? It seemed like psychotaz is not?

NevoStudio 2.0 should run in 32-bit Windows (Vista or Win7) but if you're running a 64-bit version of Windows you will need to use XP Mode (free) or VMWare with XP (VMWare not free but XP is by converting an XP Mode file to a VMWare file).

Good info folks...thanks!

It is odd when in XP Virtual mode (in Win 7 64bit) and installing Nevo Studio (for NevoSL model), it says during the beginning it will install Net 1.1 and Net SP1 but apparently it does not. The install finishes without any errors but it will not launch. Comes up with an error when trying to launch.

So I uninstalled NevoStudio and installed Net 1.1 and Net SP1 first and then restarted as directed and then installed NevoStudio v597 (which is the last update for the old NevoStudio).

It installed and then works fine in virtual XP Mode.

Windows 7 64bit. Nice.

Did you need to do anything in XP to make the USB driver work?
Did you get the IP (Nevo Link) to work?

Hi Danny - You have to go to the top of the XP Virtual screen under the USB menu and choose the "unidentified device" and it sees it and connects.

Not sure on the NevoLink. The SL configs I have worked on lately did not have a NevoLink installed.

Happy New Year

Hi Dave,

Ok thanks.

I had someone tell me they had to do some funny things with the USB driver when using 64bit. By the sounds of it though it was the same for you using 64bit as it was for me using 32bit.

Thanks for the info.

D.
