it reboots every x minutes. tried every thing (i think) unplug battery ,etc... except I cannot reload firmware
not sure why since I've upgraded the firmware of a few s70 with same computer
when my unit is in USB mode the software cannot find it and start loading firmware
any ideas driving me ........

Is the remote working at the moment? The software should not find the remote when in USB mode. I think...
If the remote is working then try but a small piece of paper between the battery cover pin and the back of the remote. Only a little is required, just to put a little more pressure on the reset button under the battery cover.

Hi,
good news then.
You should get it repaired while it is still under warranty. The paper is a good short term fix but I would not consider it a long term fix.
