I cannot get my S70 to start. The remote is about three months old. I received an application error. When I power it off and on I get the Nevo screen and then an hour glass that spins a couple of times and then the remote powers down. I get the same thing if I just hit the reset button. I have also tried the off/on followed by the OK button.

The remote is fully charged.

The power does not stay on long enough to connect via PC.

Any help is appreciated.

Look under the battery compartment.
On the battery door you will see a little pin like bit of plastic. Try placing a small bit of paper between the hole in the remote and the pin. The tip may have broken off and is not long enough to touch the button in the hole on the remote.

Also.

Does the remote boot when on the charger?

Have you disconnected and re connected the battery?

It is also worth noting (for others as well as you) the remote will not boot without the battery cover on.

If none of the above works take it back to the store you purchased it from as it will need to go in for repair.

I am able to power off and hold the jog button down. I get the screen to update via USB. My PC will recognize the S70. It informs me that updates are available. It starts the eprom and that shows successful, then the next, but then I get a waiting for USB error, like it was disconnected.....which it wasn't. Now it just stays at the Nevo screen.
