i have a customer with a turkish satelite box (from turkey, receiving turkish tv via sat dish) Having hard learnt the codes from the original remote more than once, I am still finding that the NEVO via a connect is still only intermittently working the turkish sat box. The remote is controlling all the other equipment just fine so I dont think it can be a problem with the remote or the connect. Anyone got any ideas

it should still have a model number listed on the box.

what is your method for learning the codes?  sometimes you need to press the button very quickly and not hold it down too long to get a proper capture.

Reset the Nevo to IR control for the SAT box and see if the codes work while in IR. If not, then you will need to change the IR duration or relearn the codes.

If IR does not work then change the IR duration on a few codes and keep upping the duration, until it works. Then change the duration on the rest of the codes and return the remote to work with the NevoConnect.

no amount of programming or adjusting is going to fix a line of sight IR problem. Either buy an Ir extender or the RF base station and go with flashers
One thing I have learned in this industry. It is easier to pull a wire than it is to push one.

I found this thread while looking for something else. I've never posted in RC, but had so much problems with a DFH net box (Turkish sat) that I felt compelled to register and reply to you.

In our case, IR learners couldn't even SEE the IR strings. However, with the gracious help from the support team at Global Cache, we actually used an oscilloscope to capture the data! Turns out the remote had an alternating codeset, like an RC5. However, most learning remotes don't handle those that well. The behaviour is generally as you describe -- sporadic response.

In our case, we were very fortunate that the customer had an older box with different codeset, which we used to better results.
