Hello,

I've had my Nevo Q50 for about 10 months now. I purchased it from an Ebay seller and can't get a response. So the other day I picked up my nevo and it went blank. Now I can't get it to start. I've tried holding down the scroll wheel and turning the unit back on with no result. Even tried the reset in back. When I turn it on the screen lights up but that's it. My laptop will not reconize it either. Any one know of a reset or reprogram that I can try?
Thanks in advance.

The power switch has 3 positions, do you turn it all the way on (top) without pausing in the middle position? the middle position seems to be a special mode....

Yes, I ran into that when I first got the remote. I've gone from off to on many times trying not to pause in between. The unit powers on but nothing happens. It started when I picked up the remote. Seems like it wanted to reset but now the back light stays on with no picture or anything.

Hi,

If activesync can see the remote then try reflashing the F/W.

Hi thanks. When I connect the USB to my computer it doesn't reconize the remote. Is that the same as activesync? Is reflashing the firmware in studio pro?

Thanks again

Do you have anything like a 3g/hsdpa modem? Mainly the Huawei E220 Modem?

Battery could be very low when you got the Q50. Try to charge it for couple hours and do a soft reset. It should come back alive.

When Q50 is not running, ActiveSync won't recognize it thru USB cable. Make sure it's fully charged and you can boot up the Q50. Give it a try.

Any luck, bluemoney? Did you figure out how to flash the firmware?

The Q50 battery isn't removable. It isn't even considered "field-replaceable," which is one of the bigger knocks on this particular remote.

That particualr modem caused the nevo studio program to stop seeing s70 and q50 remotes. its an easy registry fix.

I don't have any thing like a 3g/hsdpa modem? I have charged the battery and retried, the Q50 just wont boot up so the activesync won't see it. I did let the battery die and then retried but nothing. I still can't flash the firmware. I didn't see the driver in the driver folder so I updated studiopro but nothing. does anyone have a copy of the driver? When I updated studio pro it rearranged everything and now there isn't a driver folder. It must be the firmware since it won't boot up. I wish there was a simple reset button that would reset everything. Any Ideas?

Thanks again

There is actually a little reset button on the back of the remote, but I'd rather a more knowledgeable source tell you whether that could be of any help in your situation.

I don't understand what driver(s) you are asking for?
