Has anybody else had a problem this weekend (Aug 23) with Nevo's servers? NSP is suddenly acting like it's not registered (won't access database, won't allow saves, etc.) and attempts to connect to the server fail.

I think I saw this once a couple months ago, but I just want to be sure that it's system-wide and not just my installation.

Still not working, and it's been well over 24 hrs. Model-based Setup (for new devices) just hangs and then gives a message saying that this version of NSP is not registered.

Anybody know what's going here?

I know that nobody's going to give me specifics, maybe you could hint whether I'm getting warm. :)

Might the apparent server shutdown have anything to with a software roll-out for next weekend's CEDIA 08? Some cryptic posts in recent weeks hinted at something good coming our way, and it hasn't gone unnoticed that Nevo's CEDIA page describes the S70 AND Q50 as universal controllers that "use 2-way RF technology." Hmm...

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? ;)

Can anyone at least confirm that this issue is on Nevo's end, so I don't have to get wigged out about my installation??

Hi,

It is at Nevo's end.

Yes the RF is 2-way. That is how the Z-wave works. It has built in error checking.

But you should still check out the Nevo stand at Cedia 08. ;)

Thanks for that. I've been trying to set up a second controller this weekend and I was getting a little nervous about the inability to connect. I guess I'll just keep checking until they're back in the loop.

I won't be at CEDIA, but I'll certainly be keeping my eye on things. :)
