I'm contemplating purchasing an S70 as a system remote for a home theater. The S70 is interesting because of the wifi - would be nice to be able to integrate with a media server based on a mac. (or, with a lot of fiddling, an apple tv...maybe)

I have found the application Remote Buddy which looks like it might give an elegant solution to accessing a mac based system. The question is if the remote can access a web site on a local PC running AJAX? And, do the buttons work? I don't have a remote yet, so can't try myself, but any thoughts would be appreciated.

This is the remote buddy web site.

Thanks,

Matt

really curious about this . .

"For Mac and PC

Signal supports iTunes on your Mac or iTunes, Winamp, or Windows Media Player on your PC. You can use an iPhone, iPod touch, or a Windows Mobile Pocket PC as your remote. Setup is simple, just install and go."

"Will it work on my Windows Mobile Smartphone?

At this time Signal only supports the iPhone, iPod touch, and Windows Mobile Pocket PCs.

How do I install the Pocket PC client from a Mac?

Enter the web access URL in Pocket Internet Explorer on your device. You will be presented with an option to install the Pocket PC client wirelessly via Internet Explorer."
