Hello. I have a quick question re: the S70 and figured if I was going to get a straight answer it would be here at remotecentral.

I use signal on my iphone right now to control iTunes on my Mac. It is an IP based program pretty much Signal runs on the Mac and it gives you an IP address. You go to another web browser on a separate computer like an iPhone put that IP in and you now have a running itunes interface. Alot like remote if anyone has used it yet. My question to use signal you have to be able to use the touch screen on the iphone. It was designed for that such as use on a palm or other touchscreen based PDA. Question will it work on the S70? When a web comes up can you just use the screen to touch links and view new pages pretty much surf? or is it just for putting an ip in and viewing like an IP camera for security?

Thanks alot,
jim

Hi,

The S70 support Flash only.

Asuming that no software is required and it is just a web page then it should work.

I have never used or seen this this software. I am going on the provided info.

Thanks,

Pretty much as long as you can tap on links to surf pages it will work.

So I should be good then. How do you like the S70?

The Nevo remotes are based on Windows Mobile Pro... if it works in MIE (Mobile Internet Explorer), it will likely work on the Nevo as well. If you know someone with a Smartphone you can test the theory... also, there MAY be a developer/test version of MIE available on the web for testing purposes and you could always try that on a Windows PC.

I know it works on all smartphones with mobile windows so that means I'm safe. I think I'm going to get one to try out. I'm a installer here in Pa for a friend of mine who has been in the business for 30 years. He was always a 2 channel guy and now he has been changing with the times over the past few years and have been helping him out cause I like to try new toys out! LOL He has always used Logitech stuff but I thought this might be nice for a try especially cause we are doing more and more media servers with macs and now using the iphone for control. this will be another solution for those without one.

"Will it work on my Windows Mobile Smartphone?

At this time Signal only supports the iPhone, iPod touch, and Windows Mobile Pocket PCs.

How do I install the Pocket PC client from a Mac?

Enter the web access URL in Pocket Internet Explorer on your device. You will be presented with an option to install the Pocket PC client wirelessly via Internet Explorer."
