HI,
Can anyone help??? I have a multi-room set-up and my installer has had numerous problems setting the nevo up. Its running sought of OK, but after setting up code delays etc for switching equipment on in the correct sequence and then installing the nevo with the new download from the laptop, with code/time delays, has resulted in, for instance digits not functioning for channel selection on the tv, ie the number "one" digit would not work ,where as previously it did and this button was not subject of change by the installer. Any ideas would be appreciated. The laptop states the the download to the nevo remote was complete.....but obviously something has gone amiss......causing buttons and functions to not work where they did before.

Regards in advance

Hi,

I have seen something simmilar to this in the past.

There are two things that have worked for me.

1. re-add the IR code for that device and perform a Super fast device swap.
2. perform a F/W flash on the blaster.

A little more info would help though as per TouchCommanders post.

Are you sending codes via the remote or a NC-50?
get a digital camera (mobil phones work) and look at the remote or NC-50 through the camera and see if you can see any IR flashing.

Guys ,

Thanks for posting replies....It's a Nevo SL and my installer has an old laptop, which he is needing to replace to get a faster/newer one. I suspect that as it is old, (in computer years)that its running on windows. He has used the cable and also wireless methods to programme the Nevo. I am more than pleased with it, but these little glitches are very annoying!!! Sorry I can't give more in depth reply but all I know is how to push the buttons!!

You should probably have your installer post something to this site since he's the one configuring your Nevo install. He'd probably be able to go into much more detail than what you have posted thus far.

I don't think there is much we can do for you if you aren't the person who is even programming this.

Hi,

Do you just have the remote or is there a Nevo Link in the cabinet with the rest of the gear? You mentioned he used wireless download so I think there may be a link.

As an end user you can still try the camera test.

As you mentioned you were having trouble with the TV channel and assuming you are using the TV tuner and not a STB then have a look at the front of the TV. Is there something stuck to the front of it with a very thin cable coming out from it?

If so then that is what will be sending the code to TV. That is what you want to take off (if you feel comfortable doing so) and look at it through a digital camera. Press a channel button and see if it flashes at you.

As Ry-dog mentioned just ask your installer to add a post to this post.

Thanks again. I will show the comments to my installer tomorrow. As I said I just push the buttons, so its a bit over my head.!! Hopefully he now has a new laptop......

Cheers
