Hi.
Since i bought my nevo sl i have problems with connecting to my music/pictures etc. via nevo media server and player - only when I connect via LAN (cable).
So... this is my setup
Nevo SL Toshiba Laptop with Wifi D-Link DSL-G604T Wireless Router PC with windows XP connected via LAN Cable to the router.
if I use my media zone on the laptop (wireless) everything is ok. but if i want to see my music on the ordinary pc which is connected via LAN cable to the router - nevo sl dont show this media zone (it's grey, you can't access it) ,
so my question - why is this happening? does all components have to be connected wirelessly to access them with nevo?
oh yeah... UPNP is on and all windows firewalls are off. no encryption.
PLEASE HeLP :)

When you setup NevoMedia Server, did you go through the setup wizard and tell the application where your media was? And then did it find and varify that media is present on that regular PC?
I ask this because if you skipped this process and NevoMedia Manager does not see any media content on your PC, then it will not broadcast itself. I found this out the hard way a long time ago.
What computer was the one that setup the Media Zone? While creating a Media Zone, you had to have been able to detect the NevoMedia Server application. Did that go fine?
And no, you don't need to be wirelessly connected to a network in order for this to work.

Yes, i did go through the media wizzard.
I can setup media zones on the laptop or on the local PC. If I do it on the laptop (which is connected wirelessly) everything works fine - exept accessing media zone located on the local PC. all wireless devices are reachable. if i set up the media zones on the local PC. no media zones are available (no mather if local or via wireless)...
any ideas ?

So your local PC's uPnP is also not detected by the laptop? Are you shure your router isn't blocking the uPnP ports (1900 and 2869)? And is there any 3rd party firewalls installed? Because I know sometimes they block uPnP without logging it...

no... the router seems to be ok... because if all devices are connected wirelessly there is no problem at all... if i wire the pc to the router, or the amplifier etc. it doesnt work...
