I have a Nevo SL that I bought a couple years ago. I am looking for additional images (backgrounds, buttons, symbols etc.) in addition to what came with the NevoStudio 2.0 software. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When I wanted more images, I just started googling terms like "backgrounds," "icons," "symbols," and "buttons." I was amazed at all the stuff I found. Most of it seems geared toward the web design/graphic design crowd, but that's okay, as it works just fine for our purposes. I downloaded a ton of stuff and organized it into my REMOTE DOWNLOADS folder as buttons, backgrounds, product images, etc. Now I have all these great graphics available when I'm programmnig.

By the way, in case you haven't found it yet, there are some free downloads on http://www.guifx.com/

I pretty much did the same thing as brodyboy did; go to Google Images and you can more than you'll ever need there.

Remember that the cool thing is that NevoStudio auto-resizes backgrounds, so it doesn't matter what the size of the picture is you download.

Buttons are another story though, their size appears in NevoStudio the actual resolution that it is. Also remember that in order to create buttons, you can either use one or two images. If you use one image, the button will not have that cool "pressed" look when you go to press it, but if you use two images (and obviously the images have to be a little different), you can create that look. If you go with two images, both images have to have the same exact file name except that the "upstate" ends in _0 and the "downstate" ends in _1.

Just go to Google Images, you can't go wrong.

Also don't forget that anything made for a 240x320 remote will work... such as the ProntoPro NG TSU7000/7500 or TSU9400 (files in the file area on this site).

Hi there.

I have a very specific concern, which is to find symbols for the following logos -

- SACD
- HD DVD
- Blu Ray

If I'm resizing under PhotoShop the many logos that can be found on the net, the result is not that appealing. Is there any way to find those symbols ready to be used under the NevoSL's animated wheel?

Thanks in advance !!

I didn't need SACD, but I had to google around for HD-DVD and Blu-Ray logos that I liked and then remove their backgrounds in Photoshop. I would do the same with the SACD logo. FWWI, it was until I wanted logos for the remote that I realized how "boring" the hi-def logos are.
