I have decided to get rid of my mother-in-laws NevoSL because of the dropping wifi issue I she is having with it. I want to go with the Q50. My question is, the IR link for the the Q50 works with out wifi, correct?

I do not want to deal with wifi. So I want to make sure I will not have to worry about wifi.
I spent all my money on cigars, liquor, and golf. The rest I wasted.

You are right, the NevoConnect and NevoQ50 talk over Z-wave. The cool thing is that there are no settings to mess with or routers to setup; VERY easy stuff.

I actually had pretty good luck with my NevoSLs, but I'll admit it was a much more involved process to get it working rock solid.

The NevoQ50/NevoConnect pair are simply awesome; very reliable and very easy to setup and plus you have a ton of new features with the NevoConnect that weren't found on the good ol' NevoLink.

Thanks, I am sure that I could get the NevoSl working better. I just don't have the time to go over and mess with it right now.

Thanks for the info.

Just received the Q50 today. I love it, as I will not have to go over and fix the wifi problem anymore.

My only question is can you change the hard button functions. I would like to have the volume hard button control the TV only. She doesn't have a receiver, so everything goes through the TV.

Is this possible? If so can someone tell me how.

Thanks in advance.
