Hi,

I have a horrible feeling I have just fried my Q50 I downloaded the new version of NEvo Studio Pro and was attempting to upgrade the firmware as recommended.

I followed the instructions and switched off the remote and switched it back on whilst pressing the jog wheel until "USB DOWNLOAD" appeared - all good so far.

After this tho the PC said the USB device had not been recognised, and NSP didn't detect the remote. Then I had to cancel the firmware upgrade.

Now I have a remote that won't get past the Nevo Logo boot screen.

Anyone got any ideas - the wife will be mad as hell if she can't use the remote :-(

I, pretty much, had the same thing happen just a day or two ago. My upgrade failed just as I released the Jog Wheel.

I went back and started the upgrade from the beginning, only this time I held the Jog Wheel down all through the first download. Everything went fine. I don't know if the Jog Wheel was a factor or if the failure was caused by something else.

Anyway, the second try was successful and my remote is back to normal.

Also.

When you turn the unit on don't delay your movement of the power switch. It has two positions and if you stop/pause in the middle it will not work.

I had the same problem and called Nevo// they even issued an RA# and said it was shot!
One thing I did was to reboot the computer and start all over with the remote.... I got it to work successfully and it took the firmware update... after much stress!
