Hi......hopefully someone can help me out! :)

I have just installed NSP on my laptop, it asked if I wanted the update....updated to 1.1.0.854 everything works fine. I also went to install it on another computer in my office and the original version on the desk works fine but, after the update when I go to open the program from the desktop shortcut the program starts and then stops. I reloaded the software three time and get the same results.

I was wondering if anyone has seen this problem before? I finally just left the software from the original disk install and started programming. Now if I work on a file on the laptop then transfer to the desktop in the office it always says I'm working with a file created in a newer version of NSP and says I should update the program to the newer version. I have registered the software on both PC's. Both on XP Pro the desktop is using much newer hardware than the laptop and is a much cleaner system.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Rick

Hi Rick, might I suggest running the update from the start menu on both PCs.

If it still locks up, try installing the new 1.1 directly?

Yes, had the same problem. Haven't had time to check it out yet, but reinstalled at least twice with same problem.

Yeah, I did the download of 1.1 directly even tried fresh install of 1.1 after removing 1.0. I'm usually pretty good at software install stuff but there must be some code or application path changes in this version that this PC doesn't like. :)

Weird. Could your .Net framework be messed up? maybe try installing the latest (3.5)?

Thanks for the reply!!! I will check the .net framework tonight....this PC is less than 3 months old with the latest hardware for Bluray stuff. I have spent a lot of time programming lately and don't want to lose the personal library of commands I've saved on this PC.

Good morning!

Well, last night I downloaded and installed XP SP3, also .net framework 3.5...and shut down all running software in the backround and did the update through NSP. I'm glad to say the program now starts and is updated to the newest version. Thanks very much for the help and suggestions. ":^)
