I have recently bought the Nevo Q50 remote and have a question about setting the volume on my Yamaha HTR5860 receiver. Is it possible to set the volume at a certain level, ie 35db when I turn everything on?

Thanks

There should be settings in the receiver itself to do this ( I think ). Check the manual.

I looked in the manual but cannot find anything that relates to setting the volume in the receiver. I thought that there maybe a way to set this up on the Nevo Q50 remote.

Hi,

I don't have a huge amount of experience with Yamaha but...
Usually there will be a RS-232 command (NC-50 required) that will pre-set the volume to a desired level. Some manufactures also have an IR code that will do this, I believe that the "top of the line" AV receivers from Yamaha may support this feature. Hopefully someone with more Yamaha experience can supply some IR codes for you to test.

Have you contacted Yamaha and asked them?
