I bought a Nevo SL for my mother-in-law, so I also got a Nevo Link because she is older and it would be better if she had one.

My first problem is,

The nevo link is showing up in the software, and on the remote but I am not able to pair the two. At on piont the remote was showing the signal icon (on the remote screen) as getting a signal, now it doesn't. But when I go to setting it shows her network, and tries to connnect, but gets stuck and goes no futher. It says it is getting a very good signal.

Second problem,

Now the Nevo SL will not show up as connected when I plug it in to the computer. The computer makes two sounds, the typical connection sound, and the nevo connection programs beep just like before.

Can someone help?

So this part of the forum (the Nevo part) is of no help I guess.

When the Nevo SL is connected to the computer the "Emulator" function will work perfectly (everything somes on and turns off), but when I unplug the NevoSL, NADA.

Now it will not even show her network, but it will work when in the Emulator mode.

Can anyone help please.

If not I will have to break down and buy the Q

The 2nd biggest problem I had with mine was when the SL lost the network signal. It usually would not reconnect when this happened. The fixed that worked best was to turn off the SL with the switch on the side and then power it back on.

I have tried that. I think I am going to sell it and the link on ebay, and buy the Nevo Q50. As I understand they work on IR and have RF to IR adapter like the MX 3000 I use. I say one on ebay for around $550 for the remote and the connector.

I have one question before I do this though. The software for the Q50 is the Nevo Studio Pro series correct? I will have to download it off of Nevo's site, but do I have to get ride of the current version of Nevo Studio I have on my computer now?

Nope, I actually run both at the same time... the NevoStudio Pro series is also available for download on their site (I've put up the link in a thread here, just do a search). You can also import your current configuration and start from there...

knock on wood, right now I have it working. I had to adjust my router settings to match the settings on the Nevo. WEP, Authenticaion Open, 64 bit encription, ect......

The suport team at Nevo, which sucks (that is if you can get the dirrect number), told me that her router (a Netgear) was not what they recomend. They said I need to change to a Lynksis.

Anyone haveing problems with a Netgear?

I believe that is the one she is using. Damn, it took a while to get the settings correct.
