I am trying to create a button on my Q50 which essentially when pressed banks the channel i am currently watching. Then after browsing through other channels waiting for commercials to finish i could press the button again to go back to the original channel. I couldn't think of a way to do this but was hoping someone else could. The main problem is to figure out which channel i am currently watching.

I dont think this would be possible, although I don't use the Nevo products, I just can't imagine any way the remote could know what channel you were just on, unless you have a 2-way cable box/remote or a "macro" button you could edit on the fly!

There is currently no pratical way of doing this.

Most STB's or TV's have a "back" button. Although this is usally only rembers the last channel and is no good if you change channel more than once. although im sure you know this :)

The only chance you would have is if your STB had a way of storing a Fav channel, and if you could create a macro to change that on the fly. I don't think it's out of the question, you would do something like this:

- create a button (function key) called mark channel
- create a button (function key) called previous channel
- Make the markbutton a macro that configured your FAV channel via cable menu
- Go to other chnanels, do your thing, etc..
- click previous channel and it will execute a 'fav' command taking you to the channel.
