i've already asked this in another thread but didnt get much response. my question is -how is the response time when pressing the buttons in comarison to, say a hard button Universal Remote? is there any difference in the response time when using the hard buttons compared to the TS? a member here (ckelly) had indicated he was experiencing sluggishness, i had hoped this was an isolated incident, however i read a french review last night (it was translated so not entirely clear at times) in which the reviewer stated one of the downfalls was that this unit is really slow. but again due to the translation i wasnt sure if he was refering to the response time or not.

thanks alot guys, sorry if my incesant(sp?) questions are annoying.... Christian.

Mine is not really slow except on the rare occasion I let it turn itself off. At that time, it takes about 3-4 seconds to recognize the 1st command. But even that's only about 1 of 10 or so.

I really like everything except battery life.

thats good to hear... how would you say the reaction time is in comparison to the original device remote? do you notice any lag at all when arrowing through menus and such?

Honestly I haven't noticed any delay on a typical button press whether it be from the Nevo's hard buttons or from its touch screen. However, if you do catch it in that "wake up period" and don't recognize it, you'll push the button again and again only to produce a chain of commands that follow that 3-4 second period.

No sluggish problems with IR operation at all for me, the only thing I wouldlike to speed up is when I am using one computer for content source and another as the target, if you get a couple different computers running content (say one for pics and a different one for music) you get some lag in the remote keeping up with the pics and songs and some lag when trying to change them, somtimes up to 20 seconds
