Hi guys, I've been reading the forum for a while before making the purchase, but now I've been let down by the poor performance of my black nevo sl in my specific system. I find that the touch screen is really not sensitive enough (I have to apply a lot of pressure to it). Is there any way to fix this?

The second point is more specific to my system:
Pioneer lx508 TV
Onkyo 805 amp
Sky HD sat
Dreambox sat
Humax dtt pvr
htpc

The remote is very temperamental with the SkyHD and the Dreambox buttons. I did the learning thing a thousand times but the remote will not learn correctly the single numbers. I tried with all combination of delays, but with no joy. Also, remote never works on the simple EXIT button. has anyone come across anything like that.

My installer is very very disappointed as well. Any thoughts from you, pros?
Thank you

A few tips:

Regarding the touchscreen, I find that using either the back of my finger nail or the tip of my finger nail works pretty well.

As far as learning the codes go, did your installer make sure that he tried alternative code sets for those brands of products. He might have just given up after not finding the model number in the database, but whenever that has happened to me, I have almost always found a working code set by testing code sets associated to brand names.

One other thing that I find helpful is to add the audio beep to each touchscreen button. If it beeps, then you know that it worked. If no beep, then you have to press again.

How is the Nevo controlling the cablebox? Via IR directly or via a repeater of sorts? Many cable boxs get overloaded by IR emitters and may be your problem, not the remote or the codes.
