Two quesitons...

One: Can you hide pages in the Nevo like the pronto I can't seem to find a way to do this.

Two: I am having no problem seeing one computer as its own server and player, but another (my laptop) with the program installed is no where to be found. Is there some little trick I am overlooking?

Thanks

P.S. I am using all the original software, no updates yet at all

P.P.S. Well I found the problem, it was in the worm protection of Norton, have to turn off the 1900 port protection for the upnp to work right

Is there a better way for testing IR????

hidding pages is easy just delete the device icon off the main page. There will be no way to get to the hidden pages.

As for the server problem do they have diff. names??

Yeah they have different names, one was on a computer with norton and I was able to fix it after diving into the ports protocol etc...

Most of what I want to hide goes with a device, ie the power pages that come with the templates and have the discretes on them, I guess I will just rename a new dvice copy the pages, and relabel them so I can tell the difference. I'll call the device, power discretes and rename each page according to the unit it controls, that will do fine just as you said.

But I do like the hidden page function of the prontos, it wouldn't hurt to add the ability to the nevo.

Actually the cool thing about the NevoSL is that you no longer have to hide pages or create pages that aren't actually going to be used as a control interface.

Even if you were to delete all the pages for a specific device, if you'll take a look in the "Devices" panel and have it pointed that specific device, you'll notice that all of the commands are available for you to use at any given time. When ever you need it, just drag and drop it to a button on the interface no matter what.

I think this is a big time saver since I don't have to waste huge amounts of time creating pages that aren't going to be even seen by anyone.

As far as the media issue you are having. Nothing comes to mind, but if I were you, I'd give their tech support line a ring. They have always been helpful to me and should be able to take care of your issue.

The Pronto way of hiding pages has its advantages. For instance, using a "Please wait while system sets up" type page is a little more difficult. However, as Ry-Dog points out, with Nevo you no longer have to worry about making hidden pages for obscure functions that will only be used in somewhere in a macro. All commands are available for all devices all the time. I do like that too.

All in all it would be nice to be able to right click and hide a page as with the Pronto.
