I just picked up the Nyko BluWave remote I've learned the commands to my Nevo and it works great. I've only played with it a few minutes but it does everything but turn the unit on. But then again, I usually have to put a disc in anyway.

Now I can drop my bluetooth remote and resume my 1 remote life.

Congratulations ;)

So you're living proof for the most simple way. On/Off should be a toggle code on the original remote (1 Button), so try to split its command up to two buttons (on and off). HowTo: Learn the command just the other ones, but learn it once, and then a second time onto another button. should work.

Try out and tell....

Shin- The Nyko BluWave remote does not have a code for the "PS" key that is required to turn the PS3 on and off so that unfortunately is the one limitation.

I haven't found it to be a problem since the unit autostarts when you put in a new disc. (if only there was a remote that would let me keep my lazy but on the couch and put the disc into the player for me all would be perfect ;-)

Never mind trying to find the "PS" button - the PS3 can ONLY turn on remotely via Bluetooth. This is because the system DOES NOT provide power to the USB ports when it is off, so an IR receiver simply isn't going to work no matter what you try to send it! :-)

Ah ok, didn't know that. But the electronic disc butler isn't developed yet, so you will have to get your butt up for every disc change ;)

In my house that counts as exercise ;-)

ckelly33, can you somehow provide me with .nvo file with the codes? I would really appreciate that. I can provide an email address if you agree.

You do realize that you need the Nyko remote and not just the codes right? The USB dongle that comes with the Nyko remote is required to translate the IR codes to the PS3 and once you have that controller you can teach the commands to the Nevo since many of the commands are repeated. Should just take a few minutes.

I'd be more than happy to provide you with the codes but remoteshoppe's correct, you'll have to buy the hardware though. The bright side is that it's less then $20 for a more than adequate solution.

email me if you are still interested, I don't come around here as often as I used to.
