Well you're damn lucky then Hexplosive, because a Nevo engineer came to my place 6 or 7 months ago, and saw my run away on the Pio 6070 and the Motorola 6412 III and couldn't suggest a fix. I figured out a workaround, but no fix. I still love the Nevo though.

I have 2 nevo remotes with different configurations and they both have run away IR problems. The work around mentioned on this site is 98% effective. Love the remotes though.

I visited CEDIA today and saw the two new Nevo remotes - very impressed.

Some of the new features on the top of the range:

Z-Wave RF

802.11G with instant connection. This means you don't need to set wifi to permanently on and therefore hugely better battery life

If statements for macros - e.g. 'If the DVD is already on, then do this..'

Web browser - I saw a demonstration of the Nevo accessing a web security camera, contolling the PTZ and displaying a very good quality picture

A new Z-Wave variant of the extender

Extensions to Nevostudio etc

All in all, I think they've listed to the feedback and done a great job. Now I just need to afford one.

Wow! Z-wave?
I wonder how successfully or extensively they will support it.

So what is the point in your post. Are you selling a remote. Just got your first toy or what?

What an aggressive response!

Actually, I'm just sharing information about some new products that a lot of Nevo enthusiasts have been looking forward to. I'm not planning on selling my existing NevoSL but I do plan to buy one of the new ones at some point in the future.

there should really be some kind of basic aptitude test you have to pass in order to join this site.

EXCELLENT INFO!! i dont use wifi now due to the somewhat sketchy feedback i've heard, but sounds like these new models will be worth setting up! also love the sound of the new macro ability!

Are you "cabledude"? If not why do you care? If you are apparently my quick backhanded comment offended you. But it's was just a silly response... Mr. Sensitive.

Are you over that now? Well, I thought this was a thread about the new Nevos...

Maybe I'd visit a thread about somebodys' brightness ;), but not this one.

I'm not allowed to tell too much, but the facts posted by stindig (repeated by stealth) are all right, especially WiFi G-Standard and Z-Wave (bidirectional RF) will be extremely attractive features, combined with extended battery capacity.

Browser Function is given and as demonstrated at Cedia, IP cam live streams and other, mysterious systems (audio video distribution i.e.) work fine.

UE had much feedback the last years about NevoSL and they thought about A MASS of it while constructing the new ones...

These are fine features, but what about the "old" Nevo SL. Things like browser function should work there too. There is no additional hardware requirement I think.

The additions to NevoStudio Pro, will they work also with Nevo SL?
