I've got Nevo Server installed and running and I can see the media zone through my NevoSL.

For some reason though Nevo Server will not recognise any of the 6000+ MP3s in my collection? I can see them on the PC and Nevo Server can see all the sub-directories, it just won't recognise the music.

Any ideas?

In the Media Zone does the album/artist/track list appear but refuse to play?
Or do they not appear in media server at all?
Check settings on your wireless router, ensure you have Upnp enabled
Are you using a PC as playback device? if so make sure Nevo media player and server are both running on source and playback machines. If using a media playback (philips streamium etc) make sure Windows media connect permissions have been set to allow playback device. Set permissions on music folders to allow sharing. Make sure music files are not protected (DRM)

Nevo Server can't pick up the music files. At first it looks like it's going to find them but after doing a full scan of the music folder it can see the sub-folders, but not the actual tracks?

All the tracks are in 256Kbps MP3 format and our Squeezeboxes can access them with no problems whatsoever?

When you look at the files in windows explorer are they blue in color?

If so then the folders may be compressed for greater storage space. If this is the case then uncompress and try again.

Hope this helps.

Hi, It may be worth checking the ID3 TAG info of the MP3's, this info can sometimes become corrupt therefore making the track invisible to some media players. There are plenty of free ID3 TAG editors on the net.

All of my ID3 tags are set to version 2.4 in iTunes. I converted a small number to version 1 and they Nevo Server picked them up.

I downloaded a Tag editor but it can't read the iTunes created 2.4 tags, it comes up with a 'no separator' error!?!? The tags that I converted to v.1 could be read but the track number was missing.

Any ideas?
