Hello everyone. I have just dove into the Nevo waters and I am quite frustrated with Nevo studio. I have been a long time Pronto user and I have found the Nevo studio and Nevo unit better in some areas but in many others fatally flawed.

I must conclude that either I am doing something wrong or I am not using the device correctly. Help!!

Here are my problems:

1: Inability to load from the remote itself. I am a constant saver of my in progress designs. So I end up with many different revisions, with the Pronto I go to the remote and upload the latest version work with it and then save it. How do I upload the remote into the studio? Can you?

2: Can you teach the remote a learned code directly? Again with the Pronto this is easy and straightforward. The only was it seems to work is through the program.

3: How do you select wheather a component is talking via IR or through the Nevolink?
I have not been able to configure mine to work with the Nevo Link. Help!

4: How do you make custom banners or labels such as "welcome to my home
theather.

5: How can you view the custom buttons all at the same time?

Select the File > Restore Project From NevoSL. I'm not sure why you would want to do this you can't edit a project on the NevoSL only in NevoStudio.

Correct, only using the NevoSL as the interface to NevoStudio.

Sorry can't help, don't have a NevoLink.

You can add a label to a screen, right click on the screen and select add label, or you can create a background in you favorite graphics program with banner in, then add to the background gallery.

5: How can you view the custom buttons all at
the same time?

Don't understand what you mean.

unlearn what you have learned with the pronto...if nevo sl was a pronto it would be called pronto......

actually..once you figure out the nevo sl and the way it does things its much easier than the pronto.....

who cares if you have to have nevo studio opened on computer to change nevi config..... this is a bonus...customers cant jack it up .....

nevo smokes the pronto in all ways

#3 - Make sure Devices is checked under the view menu, in order to see this. Go to your Devices window. Choose the Device you want to modify, then click the pencil to edit. There is a pull down there to change the Device to the Link or via IR. It will not show the link unless it has been added to this particular configuration.

5. I assume you mean in the Gallery? In the View pulldown, make sure you have all of the galleries checked. Then you can go to the button page and choose which set you want to see in the pull down, with the Gallery.

To choose a NevoLink instead of NevoSL, you can discover the NevoLink in NevoStudio and change the property of the device! This is all covered in the Help and Design guide... Cheers
