When I depress my volume button I get a single, half unit, increase of volume on my Denon receiver. I have to repeatedly tap the volume button to get any results. Does anyone know why I can't just hold it down to get a continual increase/decrease in volume?

Are you using a learned code from the Denon remote or from the Nevo database?

Are you using a Nevo Link? If so make sure you have not enabled the "send IR as macro" in the settings menu.

It's actually a change in the latest FW from Nevo... this is already covered in another thread. You can get a tool from Nevo support to change the max duration... Also, there is a flag for sending as Macros through all NevoLinks, make sure it is not checked... hope this helps

I am not using NevoLink and I can't find the other thread that fixes this. Can someone direct me to that thread or give me the answer? Thank you.

You didn't answer our question. Are you using a learned code, or one of the database code? I don't know if StealthX is using a Denon as well or not.

I am using a supplied code. I have also tried a learned code. Both with the same response.

Hi.

Do you still have the problem if you put the volume commands on the channel up/down buttons? You should also try putting the commands on the lcd screen. This will help to track down where the problem is.

I have to amend an earlier post: I have tried the supplied codes but they don't work on my receiver. In fact, I had to learn most of the codes to get them working.

I have placed the volume keys on the screen too and receive the same problem of getting only incremental increase/decrease with each button press. This is odd because all of my other buttons on the screen will have continuous emissions if I hold the button. It is only the volume that won't do it.

Thanks for the continued help.

It seems your learned IR is incomplete... I would suggest re-learning or try to find the Hex format on this site... Cheers

I had the same problem with a Denon receiver. I re-learned the code and all was OK. Any stray IR from a screen or other remote could mean the learned code is corrupt in some way. A gereral rule is to learn codes in a totally IR free environment. It's obvious but caught me out a couple of times over the years
