have a nevo i just upgraded...wow was that painfull......anyways i have some equipment i need to learn ir commands for...the nevo codes are missing some functions like exit, play, etc.....i tried learning and it was successfull but the buttons i learned dont work...any help?

also i would like the volume and all 4 of the function keys to be universally programmed no matter what screen i am on...how do i do this......i just cant get it right

Ed,

To assign functions to the function keys and the volume no matter what scrren you are on you need to set the Actions on the Master Page. You then need to ensure that the inheritance for all subsequent pages is set to 'yes' for function keys and hard keys. There is a problem in doing this for the volume as it in a group called 'Hard Keys' which also includes the Channel Up / Down and the Navigator.

I have a Nevo upgraded to 1.1 and a have some problem to the command with a Dreambox DM7000s, i have tested the 3 differents codes but the Nevo missng some functions, same problem with learning function but the learning was successuf !!

I've also had some problems with the learning function or the Nevo. It always says successful but the command won't work...even after several attempts. I'm hoping that either Nevo posts my specific device (Denon AVR-3806) -OR- fixes the problem so that it truly is a universal remote!

WOW THAT IS TERRIBLE!!! my current universal cost me $80can and i have never had any problem with it learning. so what, you guys still have to use the original device remotes for certain functions, or even worse get up?!?!

With just about every remote I have programmed, the learning functionality can be effected by harsh lighting while learning and other things. Read Daniel's FAQ here in the Pronto section about learning. A lot of it can apply to the Nevo SL.

I have not had any real issues with the learning function.

Chris - the codes for the AVR3805 should work for you on the 06 model. If you still are missing a few codes and you cannot learn them, consider looking for them in their hex code version and paste them in. Sometimes this is a perfectly normal "finishing" activity, for those last few codes.

Dave-Thanks. I used the template for the 05 and it worked for most commands without a problem. Is there a place I can readily find the hex codes I need?

UPDATE: I've found the hex codes for the AVR-3806 posted at: [Link: usa.denon.com] but I have no idea how to use them. The Pronto hex codes look very much different form these. Do I need to convert them somehow?

Stealth-I haven't found a function that isn't readily available other than those I would classify as somewhere between secondary and obscure. For instance, the only thing I have run into haveing difficulty learning are the commands for inputting XM radio stations from the "Zone 2" location. Still, I would like to be able to make the remote as complete as possible.

cool. i was more concerned with ceied's post about very comon functions being non operational.

I have had zero problems with learning any ir functions to the remote. I just make sure that I cover the remotes when learning codes. The only and main problem I'm having is with charging.

The codes on the Denon .pdf are binary codes which need to be converted to pronto hex or something similar. Then you could paste them into Nevo Studio.

There is a hex converter in the Pronto NG files area, by Bruce Friedlander, specifically for Denon. You can run it on windows, copy and paste the pronto hex output and see if it works. I think you need microsoft .Net elements to make it work.

I have used it may times.
