I have managed to get my Nevo-SL to connect to my router & have successfully set up the media zones (they work fine from the Nevo-SL emulator) but the zones never ecome available on the Nevo-SL. Its not a firewall issue as switching the firewall off has no effect.

Anyone know how to make it work? Universal Electronics obviously dont give a toss as they ignore any emails asking for help.

Anti virus can cause this problem aswell.

First you need to establish that you have a working basic network.

Can you ping the pc from the remote?
Can you ping the remote from the pc?
Can you ping the router from the remote?

Are you using a Upnp renderer? I had a similar thing where the DSM320 stopped talking to the network which kills the Upnp connection, which in turn prevents the SL connecting. If so... have a look at all connected Upnp connections on your network and make sure they're all showing correctly.

Have you also pressed the 'home' button on your remote to connect to NevoStudio? does wireless downloading work ok? Get this far and you'll at least know your SL commincating with the router ok.

Nik,
If the Media Zones are working from the 'Emulator', have you tried re-downloading the project into the NevoSL and then doing a soft reset?
The only other thing that would cause this from the NevoSL's side, is if there is a low signal strength/TX rate (Settings/Wi-Fi/Advanced/Status).

hmmm had same prob here.....

media zones on SL worked when plugged into pc (therefore using PC netork connection), but not on its own......reset using stylus solved prob (same solution for alot of networking probs on Windows CE).

Thing now is...i can see media zone on SL, see the media...SL says its playing it, but the rendering device (D-Link DSM-520) doent actually repond :S

I haven't seen DSM-520 in their UPnP list! I have a 320 myself and music works great! What's different between 520 and 320?

Do you have the MediaServer enabled and running; as well as MedaiPlayer?
