Dave, I already had the 100ms delays in place for all the button codes. They didn't help. I added the beeps along with the delays, and still didn't help. It's not bad all the time, but it seems to go in spurts. When it does, it seems to affect both up and down volume buttons. Hard to get it to stop where you want it to. Not a deal breaker, but it is quite annoying. I emailed Nevo about it as well. As far as I can tell, I'm running the latest firmware and software.

Thanks,
Mark

Marky,

It seems to effect some people and not others. I do not know if it is really a function of the particular IR code or not, or if it is learned code or part of the database codes.

It happens to me rarely and some folks seem to get it frequently. The one thing that seems to make a difference is in how you press the buttons. A "complete" press almost always seems to work without repeating. What I mean by this is a press which is sustained for a brief spilt-second. Some shorter presses seem to cause the repeat.

You might consider getting new codes for your volume up and down if you learned them. See if other vol + and - act better, from the database.

Last but not least...people who created their config in 1.0 have reported excellent results by completely re-doing the config (not borrowing anything!) from the earlier config.

Ok, as goofy as this seems to me, I added the beep to try and eliminate the run away, but still had it. Yesterday, I finally removed the beeps, and lo and behold, the run away has quit. What is up with this? I've beat this thing to death trying to get it to do it again. I left the delays in that I had in originally before the beeps to try and get rid of run away. It makes no sense at all. But it did something to it. NevoSL engineers are in the process of sending me a replacement so they can get mine to test, but now I don't know if I want to get rid of it. WTH could have caused this? It's such a great remote I'd use them for everyone if I knew this runaway was a non issue.
