Hi,

Despite reading the manual and spending hours tinkering with this thing i still can't find out how to save a device that i have created with custom buttons and learned IR so that if i have to confgure another remote sometime in the future with the same device i can just drop it in without having to use the 'new device wizard' and then waste time editing or learning missing buttons and codes. (i have found that you can edit device templates but it doesn't let you add actions to the buttons so you still have to add or learn IR again when using the new template)

I hope i'm just being dumb and have missed something obvious!

Any help gratefully received.

Hi Jimwad,

The best way to do this is to create the new device in its own Nevo job file. Then every time you need that device just simply right click on the device (left window) and copy it, then paste it into the new job. This will copy the page layout, page links (within the device) and all the IR codes.

Hope this helps.

Yes, that is good advice from sydinstaller. Whenever I finish a Nevo job, I copy and paste each device into a new file and save each device by product name and type of device.

Thanks sydinstaller and ddarche - that works a treat. Strange that it's not mentioned in the manual anywhere!
