From Nevo FAQ;

What file types are supported for Media management?
Images: JPG, BMP, PNG, GIF
Audio: WMA, MP3
Video: WMV, AVI

What format of video are you trying to play?

My understanding from the "Networking Compatibility
UPnP Compatibility and Recommended Routers" pdf file on the MyNevo.com website, [Link: mynevo.com] , and my conversations with tech support, is that the Nevo people only claim that the DSM320 is compatible with Nevo. They say the DSM-520 has issues that prevent it from totally accepting control from Nevo. These issues seem to be restrictions or additions to the UPnP made by DLink.

As far as the DSM-320 - my experience is that you should not upgrade the firmware past 1.07. 1.08 does quirky things with or without Nevo, and there is no way to 'downgrade' back to a previous version. DLink support is no help at all.

Another note - if you are using the NevoSL to control the DLink using IR (not Media Manager), the TVersity Media Server gives you a much wider choice of media types.
