I will always program a nevo for anyone, regardless of where they purchased but I won't be responsible for the hardware.

Kits, go to dave's site and read his amazing white paper on setting up the networking for the nevolink.
I was a little apprehensive but found it clear and simple and worked perfectly

My understanding was that the Nevo folks were not giving any support to end-users, only dealers, and that they had turned in some A**D dealers who were selling, and those dealers were somehow punished by A**D. Not sure how that is going to play out now that Nevo is using DDG.
Dave, I understand you're programmig a Nevo for anyone, even if they bought it on Ebay. I hope you are charging them dearly for the priveledge, and not giving them software, etc. I still think it is important to support 'dealer only', otherwise maybe Nevo will decide to go DIY. I think in the end that would suck for everyone.

As far as supprt goes, there is enough support on this site to help with most problems. A warranty will only last you 12 months anyway, so if you can save 30% off a retailers price, then why not, plus I also do not know of anyone who has had hardware problems with the unit, only software. Having said this, Dave at remotequest.com certainly is actively helping both his customers and others on this site.
I would say that everyone should consider purchasing from Dave, unless a decent saving can be made.

Thanks Paul for the vote of confidence. The other, more important issue is;
if you do not have a dealer to go back to, no factory service either. If you approach UEI, they will simply send you back to your dealer, warranty or not. If you don't have one, then you now have an expensive paperweight.
So, if folks want a warranty and factory service after the fact, then only buy through a certified installer/reseller. You do pay a preminum but you get a lot of comfort.
Decent savings go away rather quickly, once you need service.
