Hello, contemplating a purchase and need to know the following about Nevo:
1) Does it support RF? How? Is there another piece with emitters?
2) Can you customize buttons, backgrounds, sounds and screens?
3) Is there variable support? In the URC remotes there is a feature that allows you to program Macros based on if a variable is set to 1 or 0. This allows you to initiate different comands with the same button under different circumstatnces. Is there anything that enables this?
4) Can you run nested macros?
Thanks for the help.

1. No RF but if you have a wireless network in your home Nevo's WiFi features are very similar in function to RF (able to operate devices without "Line of site"). For the WiFI control you DO need a separate piece (NevoLink) 2. Yes to all with the possible exception of sounds...I've never tried it. 3. I'm not real clear what you are asking. The hard buttons can do different things depending on what device page you are on. 4. yes.
your welcome.

Variable referes to the ability for the software to check the state of a variable... IE if you pressed "Guide" This could set a variable to Flag GUiDE On. Then when you press say channel up its command could say. CHeck Flag Guide If Flag = ON the Emit "Page Up" IR Command If FLag = Off then Emit "Channel Up" Command
Then the exit or enter button could clear the Flag.
Use... when you go into the guide for cable the channel up and down now goes by pages rather than having to go to a page with a soft "Page up" Button. Once you are out of guide by pressing "Enter" or "Exit"... clear Flag to resume channel up and down functionality.
BTW I think the answer is no at this time.

I added that to my RTI T3 to deal with cable. On cable when you go into the guide there is a whole seperate button for Page Up and Down. As a satalite user for years I was used to having channel + take me a page at a time. This let me do it.
