Dear all,
I have 2 Philips equipments: DVP9000 and the DFR9000 for which I did not find the IR codes. I looked at the remote central files and in the NevoStudio db, but these systems are not there. Don't know what to do apart from learning the codes. Any idea where I should look to?

Well, I should not have posted above message (newbie), the learning mode worked vry well and is easy. The only things I am missing are the discrete codes.

In addition to trying to find the hex codes on RemoteCentral, you could still explore the Nevo database without the use of model numbers.
When you open up the Add Device Wizard, use the first option. Specify that you are looking for a DVD player and that it's a Philips. When you get to the page where it shows you a ton of code sets, use the option on the bottom. You'll have to have a NevoSL connected to your computer at this time, but basically you are going to test out all of the code sets to see if there is a code set that has the discrete commands that you need (inputs, power on/off, most of the keys you need are found in the template).
I have used this method several times to find a device and it usually works very well for when you can't find a model number in their database.

Hi k1200rs
Did you find the discrete on/of codes for the dvp9000 and the dfr9000??. I'm still looking for them since last summer.

I just learned them (through the learning function), that was enough and easy. I just regret I do not have the discrete codes for the on-off. Voila, salut.

Philips has had hidden discreets on some of their equipment. The power button on the remote may toggle between sending an on command and an off command. To test this turn on the unit with the power button on the remote, cover the front of the remote with your hand, aim it away from the equipment and press power again. Then point it at the unit and press power. If the unit turns off you do not have discreet toggles, if it does not turn off you do. Each press of the power alternately sends either an on of an off so you will have to learn both commands into your nevo.

Same with me. Also searching for the discrete codes for the DFR9000. Any news regarding this topic?
