Anyone had a nevo lock up!
Well got one with lattest firmeware and one with ver1.
One was working fine for a month or two and the other one week.
Each unit was allowed to run battery flat by mistake.
When they were charged back up, if they are left alone for a while, i.e. no buttons or screen touched the they would go to sleep permanently.

Other than that they are great!!
Reset does not fix or wake them up. Only way is to switch off then back on.

Does anyone know of this problem!

Nevos are both set to never sleep an wifi never off, this was not a problem until they ran flat!

I have the same problem with mine. When it sits on the charger for too long, it locks up. I have to turn it off and back on again to get it back to a stable state. Any word from Nevo?

I got the exactly the same problem.
I also had the battery flat by mistake.
I put the Nevo back on the cradle, it recharged the Nevo but after a while, it went into a permanent sleep mode. The only way to recover was to switch it off and on again. It happened just few minutes ago.
I now put it back on the cradle again and will see if this happens again.

Had the same problem with a twist,
After a long term outside the cradle the battery run flat and the Nevo locked up and ... The battery became non-rechargeable, i mean when I've put it on the cradle the battery sign shows charging but when you take it out of the cradle the battery is dead.

This append twice with 2 different nevo's, and the only solution was turning the unit off for a while (instant on/off or restart didn't worked)

I just had the lock up too. My NevoSL was powered off but sitting on the charger cradle. When I powered it up it worked for a while then wouldn't respond to anything but a power reset.

One thing about mine is that my NevoSL was connected to my WiFi net. Anyone else using WiFi too?

mine as well, same symptoms and actions as oferpeleg. It is now running fine for last couple of days (I also downloaded the project again).

This seems to be quite a common fault and I think Nevo are in denial about it...

its really a shame there are so many bugs around the Wifi. i dont use Wifi and have sufferered VERY few problems... this would be such a solid unit if they could get this wifi biz down!

What WiFi router/Access point are you using? The Linksys WRT54GX has been proven to be the most reliable. When using Nevo supplied settings it work fine.

I am using the Linksys WRT54GX, but it still locks up with Media content. Just a single music server with Nevo server software.
