So I'm in the US. I've got 2.0 installed and running. So far everything looks like it's fine, my project uploads via USB and all is well.

However, I'd really like to update the project via wireless connection, since that's a feature supported in 2.0. I've got wireless working flawlessly on my laptop and the NevoSL and can ping other devices on my network just fine as well as work my Media Zone devices.

But how do I actually make a wireless connection between NevoStudio and the remote instead of using USB?

I know there's some knowledge base articles on mynevo.com, however I get permission denied when I try to view the articles in question (no other articles give this error).

Can someone who's got this working help me out, or at least forward the content of the new knowledge base articles?

Thanks!

Greg

PS, I've also posted my project to mynevo.com via the NevoXpress menu for my MAC address. However, I see now means of pulling this down from the remote ...

Hi, I had the same problem and it has taken me ages to find the answer. All you have to do is first ensure you are in a very good wi-fi spot and press the home key for a few seconds (this is after you have gone to the home page). Providing Nevo studio has enabled programming via wi-fi you should hear a couple of beeps, thats it now connected. Also ensurs that the go to sleep is turned off.

Good luck

I'm missing something, because that doesn't do anything for me. I get the beeps and no change. Are you supposed to do something else after that?

That was a bad choice on the manufacturers side. pressing and holding a button that is on the side of the remote for a couple seconds is something that happens all the time by accident when it's picked up. There should be a initiating command in the Wifi setting area of the remote to start the download.

Hi All, i have been using the new 2.0 release and it has worked very well for me, I think that there seems to be some confusion between "Wifi Wireless download" and "Nevo Express" if you want to send a project to your Nevo SL and it is in front of you and you prefer to send it wirelessly instead of a "USB Download" then you have to make sure that you have the NevoSL connected via USB first, then set the correct settings within Nevo studio. Go to Tools> Manage Nevo Device Connections> Select Nevo SL Device, in the "Select NevoSL Device Connection" select the Nevo SL from the drop down list via the MAC address (you can give your NevoSL a "Friendly Name")
once this has been done select apply the oK, send the Project (via USB) then the next time you want to send a project to the NevoSL "wirelessly" (not via Nevo Express) just press and hold down the Home Button at the left hand side of the NevoSL and after about 2 seconds the nevo will bleep twice and you will the be able to send your project wirelessly, using the "Nevo Express Download is really for sending projects to you clients previously programmed Nevo SL with new changes" (but not firmware updates) but rember your clients NevoSL must also have version 2.0 for "Nevo Express to work"

I hope this Helps
