Hi there,

Has anyone (in the UK) successfully set up a Nevo SL to work with Sky and/or Sky+?

I am considering investing in one of these remotes, but want to be sure of it's suitability to work the Sky and Sky+ boxes.

Thanks in advance.

I have used it with Foxtel Digital in Australia and I'm sure they use they same remote codes and it works fine. UEI (the makers of the NevoSL) make the OEM remote that Foxtel and Sky use and that crappy IR protocol that is used within it.

I know it's not a definitive answer but hope it helps a little.

dar,
The Sky+ should work really well with the 1175 Satellite code.
Try it out with the NevoSL.

Dar,

I'm UK based and I have loaded a Sky configuration for a friend into the NevoSL and it works. There were a couple of keys I needed to learn direct from the remote, but with the new Hex feature this might not be needed. It was done just to prove it would work and I've since removed it.

I've even programmed it for the Velux Windows.

Hi Is there any way of setting up a separate power on and power off feature for Sky plus? I can only get the power button for both on and off to work using the code S1175. This is a bit of a nuisance if you set things up so that one button switches on and off various components.

There may not be a discrete on and off code available for that particular model of sat box. It is the manufacturer's choice if there are discrete power codes available.

Otherwise, just leave it on. It will make your macros much easier and will work better.

I have Sky not Sky +, but the workaround I use is "Sky" to switch in on and then a macro with "Sky" then "Power On/Off" to switch it off. This should also work with Sky +
