Please, only things you like.

My clients love this setup.(( Auto Guide on OK button.))

Allows seamless opperation of menu or guide without using your touch screen. Works with Cable, Satellite, or DVD.

OR. Two functions on one button as "wyzard" calls it.

1. Add and configure your device. (D 1)
2. Copy the most common page of your device.
3. Add a new Page Collection. (P.C.)
4. Now paste and label your page into the new (P.C.).
5. Configure your Function and Hard Keys on your new (P.C.)
6. In your main device page (D 1), select and delete the "OK" command.
7. Add the Guide or Menu Command for (D1) in the place of "OK"
8. Add the Jump to (P.C.) command in the same location.
9. In your new (P.C.) Add the Jump to (D 1) on your volume and channel keys.

A sample will be added to the NEVO SL File.
I'll update when the file is added.

I'm sorry. I should have waited for the file to post first.

Of course you can do this. ((((( I ))))) reserve this space for home, help, power commands for non discrete devices, and off. I felt the "OK" button was on prime real estate, why not have it do multiple functions.

Here is the file for anyone that wants it.

Once it's posted on RC I'll change the link.

I would love to use the OK key for the guide for all pages in my cable activity. But I can't figure out how to do it. I have your example, but that seems to work only on a single (Controls) page--and then only if you really select a new channel. I need it to work on the Favorites pages as well in order to eliminate dedicating a function key for that purpose.

The Nevo hard and function keys are so well designed that I am tantalizingly close to providing all common buttons on them. For cable viewing, I need to eliminate 1 function key (from Audio, Display, Guide, Exit, Off). Placing Guide on the OK button would be just the ticket. Am I just being dense? Wouldn't be the first time.

Send it to me. Let me know what device you want to add it to, I'll send it back in two days....

so basically this makes it so that you don't have to press the touch screen for a "guide" function .. instead you touch the OK hardbutton ... and when you want to scroll through your listing and actually select something, you hit the OK button again and it selects it for you... no loss of functionality.

But don't things get weird trying to keep these two pages/functionalities straight when you're working in the Tivo menus and listings where you could potentially be pressing OK many times and not want it to go to the guide? Well, now that I think about it, a simple jump at the Tivo button to the real controls would fix that. And a jump back to the fake/guide control page upon a "live tv" press, or like you say, volume...

Dunno, I'll have to fiddle with it. I may just nix the "last channel" button and use that as my guide, since I typically use the down arrow to switch between tuners, I rarely use a last channel anyway. More practice on this remote will tell all I'm sure.

As for tips and tricks ... see my recent forum post on getting album art to show up. It's tricky, and stupid, and a PITA, but it works.

Anyone have a trick or info on getting the Media Zone interface to play through to the next track listed? After a song ends, the remote just sits there, I have to physically tell it to go to the next track each time .... it'd be nice if it figured out it should continue playing ... and maybe even give me an option to shuffle the play order.

Mine will play all tracks to the end of the CD and then stop. One of the problems I have is that occassionally when it gets to the end of the CD the server will lock up and then I have to exit Nevo Media Player and restart it.

Shuffle in Settings works well.

If the next track isn't started after the current one has finished this is caused by compatibility problems between the NevoSL, the server and the player. I had these kind of problems with the Twonky and TVersity server in combination with the DSM-320 and Roku M1001 in all possible variations. My conclusion is that if you want a reliable setup that can play continuously, can shuffle, has albumart etc. you need to use the Nevo Server and Player. I still hope that future updates of the different components will change this situation.

Ah ok. It's not that it's a software bug as much as an incompatibility with the Twonky and Roku I've got. Gotcha. Hopefully this compatibility issue can be corrected in an upcoming (2.0??) release of the Nevo software.
