I know it sounds like I am going on about this. But I am very keen to hear from anyone in Australia using the Nevo remote and issues with D-link media box control etc.. and any issues with WiFi people might be having.

Cheers

I had some fairly good experiences with the Nevo & Dlink DSM-320 after initial pain. The system didn't appear to like static IP addresses, and was a bit picky about the brands of routers. Oh, and don't even think about running the dlink on 802.11b.
Having said that, I would not sell that combination to a client yet, as it wasn't perfect, both units often having to "think" for a few seconds.

PS- the Dlink user interface has some real niggly issues, I sold mine and got an Imerge.

I am in the US.

Marc and I have traded emails and my DSM-320 setup in a flash and ran almost perfectly, with some small issues. I do not know what could be different in the US versus down under, as far as equipment goes.
I also installed Windows Medias Connect and it manages all of the software media servers installed on a PC and the DSM-320 and the Nevo both see it and agree to let it do the work. It seems to work better and a bit quicker than Nevo Media Server.

Hey Guys

Can someone please help me here?

I am having difficulties with using Nevo as a media server.

In tools, then Nevo SL System settings, then Media Zones

I cannot get Nevo to find the content source under the digital Media content section.

I hit refresh and a blank screen always appears.

In the next one, under playback target, it recognises the Nevo media Centre.

Any ideas please?

where is the Media server installed? Is it enabled properly(if NevoMediaServer, it will show a green check on the menu). They should all be in the same subnet. Make sure you checkout the whitepaper on mynevo.com, it covers most of the stuff that can go wrong.

Also, make sure the Firewall and Antivirus know about the software and it is trusted.

Cheers

The 1.1 version supports more UPnP server/players and better! check it out.

Also, NevoSL will work with all 802.11b/g AccessPoints as long as it is 802.11b compliant. check out the whitepaper on mynevo.com which describes the parameters to set on your AccessPoint for best performance. Make sure you have just one subnet and one DHCP server enabled on the network.

Cheers
