Does anybody knows how to save an image that you borrow from other person configuration file?

I.E. Someone has a an electric plug icon on their configuration, I can copy it from his to mine, but what I mean can I save that icon like for making it bigger or smaller, especially for editing it. or the same for a background

Tks

Luis

i dont think you can, at least i havent had any success in my past attempts. you will find ALOT of different material that you can work with in the pronto section. in fact most of the material you see in the Nevo files section is borrowed from the configuration files for the Pronto TSU 7000.

all the best, Christian.

I borrowed a "Tivo" icon from the Pronto section of this site and it was too big for the Nevo screen. I opened the image in Adobe photoshop and reduced the image size there then saved it to the button folder of Nevo Studio. That seemed to work!
My next challenge is to make the button change from shadowed to non shadowed when it is pressed. Both images are here on this site, but I haven't worked out the format required to make it work in Nevo yet.

Cheers Russ

I've found the answer to my own question on the Nevo site.
To make your own buttons animated you need an image of your button in the "upstate" and one of it in the "downstate". All you do is add on "_0" to the end of the upstate file name and "_1" to the end of the downstate file name. Then save both files in the buttons folder of Nevo Studio.

you took the words right off my keyboard!! lol glad you figured it out.

heres a tip for some neat effects - layer buttons to use as background images -you'll see this used on one of my pages shown here in the files section(not the one with chrome buttons, but the other). just make sure the button image you want (but wont be used as a button instead just as decoration in your layering) doesnt have _0 or _1 in the file name.

Thanks for the tip Stealth, that's a very cool way to get background elements in very quickly without actually making it into a standard "up-state/down-state" button. It works like a champ.
