I read somewhere along this forum that you can change the battery setting of the nevo.

Where do you do that?

By the way I do not have the nevo link, is this related to that?

Tks

It is knid of related to that. Do you use WiFi at all? If not, you can cut it off and save precious battery life. Other battery options are timeout delay, screen brightness, etc.

First of all, do not set the battery settings form the remote itself in the Settings section. I did this only to find out that when the battery runs out, the settings go back to the default that you set when programming the unit in NevoStudio.

Now resetting the unit doesn't get rid of any other settings (the configuration, WiFi settings, etc.), only the power settings (when the unit times out, backlight settings, etc.).

I called their tech support and they explained that they are going to correct this in an up comming firmware release.

The easy way around this is when you are programming the unit in NevoStudio, go to Tools | NevoSL System Settings. Then click on the second tab and that's where you'll be able to change the various power settings.

As ckelly33 mentioned, if you are only using the NevoSL for IR use only (no WiFi, no NevoLinks, no media manager), make sure to un-check the "Enable WiFi" in the first tab in the NevoSL System Settings menu. Just like he said, you'll get much better battery life since the WiFi radio will be turned off during use.
